Big Help at Bootle Climate Festival

Providing Momentum in Environmental Protection:

Big Help Project is delighted to announce it will maintain a stall at the Bootle Climate Festival 2023. This signals the organisation’s ongoing intent to align with environmentally protective measures and provide a benchmark for the rest of Third Sector Industry in ecologically progressive practice and operation.

The event is set to host around 20 stalls from businesses, organisations and local councils across the Liverpool City Region, illustrating the advancement of environmental awareness across all industry sectors. Bootle Climate Festival will reside within a local event space, allowing members of the wider community the chance to interact with representatives of organisations within the local area. Cooking demos will be active during the festival with take-home kits allowing attendees to attempt recipes by themselves. In addition to this, there are set to be plant and seed swaps occurring as part of a Green Guardians programme, whilst music is played by North Wales based jazz quartet The Quay Notes.

Conversations will remain ecologically focussed, with free wildflower seeds and free energy saving lightbulbs available to take home from Big Help Project’s stall. It is hoped that focussing a festival on this designated topic will allow for a more open forum for environmental issues, allowing adoption of best practices to become synonymous between organisations of similar operations and size. To this degree the fostering of better organisational practice is one of the reasons Big Help Project opted to attend with a stall at this year’s festival. Understanding that the burden of ecological protection is a shared weight is crucial in developing innovative solutions to combat environmentally damaging impacts at both ends of the spatial spectrum.

It will be a proud moment of collaboration for Big Help Project to participate alongside businesses that share a passion for achieving sustainability and consider climate change action a priority. Moreover, the festival will be used as a platform to digress information regarding the operational footprint and environmental action pertaining to the organisation’s reach – with displays of environmentally protective measures and activities becoming cornerstones of the sustainable rhetoric Big Help Project triumphs. Members of the public are invited to the Climate Festival free of charge, with the hope they will ascertain resources and knowledge of the community’s climate pledges and ecologically protective implementations. Big Help project will welcome full transparency of current: sustainability, climate change, and net-zero frameworks; Sustainable Development Goal alignment; recent successful environmental projects; and their alignment with Circular Economy notions. Members of various facets of Big Help will be in attendance in order to illuminate their practices to attendees, in the hope that constructive conversation amidst the backdrop of environmentally progressive businesses could ascertain methods to further increase the sustainability of the organisation’s ecological footprint.
