Community RePaint Liverpool was founded in 2016, as part of a national scheme collecting reusable, leftover paint that would otherwise be sent to landfill. The paint is then filtered, repackaged and distributed to individuals, families, communities and charities in need, improving the wellbeing of people, and the appearance of places, across the UK.
How does it work?
The Community RePaint team collects paint from a variety of sources, including Household Waste Recycling Centres, local & national retailers, trade decorators & contractors, and donations from the public. The recycled paint is then sold through our Homes with Style and Picton Road shops, and our pop-up shop in our Kirkby headquarters, with prices starting at £1 per litre.
What types of paint does Community RePaint sell?
Community RePaint reuses and resells most standard paint types and finishes, including matt, satin and eggshell emulsion, gloss, masonry and furniture paint, and more.
What about colours?
The Community RePaint pop-up shop relies on donated paint, therefore the colours and finishes available vary depending on what is in stock. However, we also offer our own standard colour chart, which includes twenty standard colours of remanufactured matt emulsion, through our Homes with Style and Picton Road stores. Community RePaint Coordinator Simon Cowie is also happy to advise on paint choices, so you can be confident that you are getting the right paint for your home or project.
