Color Obstacle Rush!!

This is what the organisers say about the Color Obstacle Rush!

THE EVOLUTION OF AWESOME

The Color Obsctacle Rush is a unique event combining the fun of colour powdered runs, the thrill of an obstacle course and the atmosphere of a music festival.

Over 450,000 participants have taken part so far; we couldn't be more thankful for all of you, lovely Rushers! That's why we want to step up another notch for the 5th edition of Color Obstacle Rush UK in 2019 and bring you a 5k that's even more memorable than before!

WHO IS IT FOR?

The course is designed to be fun rather than crazy challenging and is suitable for most (as long as you're at least 12 years old).

Everyone loves music. So we'll bring you 20 music zones that will be placed around the course to keep you jammin' between all the obstacles and colour.

After all the fun you've just had during warm-ups, on the course and in the colour festival, you'll have a chance to relax in our special chill-out oasis.

Why not put a team of four together and get sponsored to raise funds for The Big Help Project !!  Or grab your best and say “we can do this, love it, and help Foodbanks and Food Clubs in Knowsley support so many local people…”

The link takes you to the Color Obstacle Rush. Theres not much time left to enter so get clicking now !!! And let us know if you are entering and raising funds for us so we can follow your progress.

Contact Michele Duckworth at BHP to discuss how you can help us by getting sponsored to take part in the great Color Obstacle Rush !!!

Snowden at Night Trek

Now here’s a real opportunity to do something different to support BHP !!!

Snowdonia National Park in North Wales is synonymous with beautiful, rugged landscapes and wonderful trekking and outdoor pursuits. The highest mountain in England and Wales at 1085m, Snowdon’s Welsh name is Yr Wyddfa, reputedly the burial place of a mythical giant. A popular summit trek by day-time, it forms a real challenge by night.

Standing at the summit by moonlight will be an unforgettable experience, as will seeing the sunrise from the mountain slopes as we descend. Witnessing the spectacular landscapes opening up before us as the day grows lighter is a magical and unforgettable experience.

Your base for this challenge is a friendly hotel, which makes for a comfortable, sociable start to our challenge as we tuck into fantastic food and get to know each other. At the end, we gather back together in the warm and celebrate our overnight achievement with a slap-up breakfast!

Does this challenge inspire you to do something very different to support us at The Big Help Project

Collections with a difference!

Collections with a difference!

Most people when asked what a supermarket collection is will reasonably tell you ”its like a bag packing thing or volunteers with buckets at the doors….” Nothing wrong in that answer except here at The Big Help Project I have quickly come to learn that a “Collection” has a different meaning.

For this charity a Collection is about asking shoppers to add some things to there baskets as they go round the store and hand the items over to one of our volunteers  waiting to fill our famous green crates with food. Truly this is a Collection that set your donation turned into a meal to help feed families in need of the support across our area.

Want to help ?

Heres a list of upcoming Collections….all times to be confirmed

July 25th at Asda Huyton

August 29th at Tesco Prescot

September 26th at Asda Huyton

November 28th, 29th, 30th at Tesco Prescot (National Trusell Trust collection)

Can you help ? Please get in touch with Mavis our Volunteer Co-Ordinator by email :
