BNI get their BHP Fundraising Challenge underway!!

Business Network Internationals’ Atlantic Chapter made us their Chapter Charity recently and this is simply huge news for The Big Help Project.

Corporate Volunteer Gillian Wilson represents us a full member of the Chapter and attends their weekly meetings where local businneses meet to share opportunities and Atlantic Chapter is one of the fastest growing and most successful groups in BNI. We are proud to be part of such a strong, entrepreneurial group of business leaders from across Merseyside and as the Chapters’ charity we are set to benefit from their determined fundraising efforts on our behalf !!

To set the ball rolling the Chapter has been set a target. Take £50 and turn it into a lo, lot, more. The first event was a Quiz Night at the well known Sanctuary Tap on Castle Street in Liverpool city centre. This atmospheric v venue may not have quite seen anything like the arrival of some serious, and some not so serious quizzers !! Who needs Bradley Walsh when you have Jayne Smith of Blubird Ltd compiling and asking the questions, and a superb multi prize raffle hosted by Tim “what’s next Tim'“ Lynch. . On top of this the ticket price got you a Pint and a pie of your choice from the mouth watering menu and we were superbly looked after by the Tap’s owner Tony and his brilliant team….who we can tell you can sing as well as serve drinks and food !!

Teams from across Atlantic Chapter entered, alongside a cracking team from our very own Big Help Project and it was a fiercely competitive event, with the eventual winners, the quite brilliant Cyberfog being pushed all the way by our BHP crew !!

It was a superb night and £1200 was raised, so that’s a pretty decent bit of growth from £50 with more fundraising planned. Watch this space for more news of how BNI Atlantic are supporting The Big Help Project and having a great time doing it !!
