10 years of Big Help Project - Painting Green

It’s the fifth week of our #TBT series, over the past five weeks we have been taking a look back at the history of the Big Help Project and what we have achieved over 10 years as part of our anniversary celebration. This week we’re looking back on Painting Green.

Painting Green opened in 2016 and is a member of Community Re-Paint, a national paint reuse network sponsored by Dulux that collects paint that would otherwise go to waste and redistribute it. We use leftover paint that has been donated that would have ended up in landfill, or stored away, despite 50% of it being usable!

We wanted to help communities make their spaces a little brighter; and help to make the planet a little greener! As our paint is recycled paint, we’re able to ensure that the cost is a fraction of branded names, but with the same quality. This makes it incredibly accessible for low income families and people.

Our painting green team also works with housing associations across Merseyside to provide paint packs for their tenants; allowing them to put their personal stamp on their home and make it their own!

Paint is available at £12.50 for 5 litres, as well as furniture paint for £7.95 per 750ml. We also have gloss at £12.50 for 2.5 litres and accessories on offer; such as: ready mix filler, roller & tray, brush set, dust sheet, clean spirit, sanding pads, and masking tape.

Our Painting Green team can be contacted on 0151 673 0949.
