Councillor Peter Mitchell (Executive Chair)
Peter has worked in the private sector for over 20 years and was Finance Director of a large multi-million-pound retail company and then went on to become Managing Director in 1995. A former Chair of North Liverpool primary care trust and of the Alt Valley partnership board, Peter was elected to Liverpool City Council in 2010 to represent Croxteth ward. He was appointed as Mayoral Lead for Parks and Open Spaces in charge of all Liverpool’s 47 Parks in 2012. He is Chair of the Big Help Project and formerly of Cobalt Housing.
Mr Steve Bolger
Steve has a strong sales background, currently owning and operating his own catering company. In addition to this Steve has excellent contacts in the Liverpool City Region Business Community and frequently volunteers his time and fleet of vehicles to assist the service delivery of Charitable operations to service users
Ms Cathy Burton
Cathy has over thirty years experience working in Merseyside Police, and has most recently served as a lead in the Sex Crimes division. Cathy currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Big Help Project as the Charity’s Safeguarding lead owing to her many years of vocational and professional experience. Cathy has over 30 years of experience working in communities and building relationships with vulnerable members of the public in areas of high deprivation.
Ms Colette Goulding
Colette is an Assistant CEO as well as the Trading Manager for Big Help Trading, the wholly owned subsidiary company of the Big Help Project. She has helped to set up and establish the organisation’s three shops, and has a passion for providing high quality retail options which provide a source of sustainable income for charitable activity. Her previous experience includes working for major national companies, including Barclaycard.
Mr Gerard Gibbons
Ged spent over 30 years in local government across Merseyside, and held senior positions in events management, sports development, marketing & communications, and Town Centre Management. He retired in 2014, and established 'GGConsultancy', now working on projects in the UK and in Europe .
Mr Andy Myers
Andy has a wealth of experience within the third sector. Now retired, he worked for over a decade at the Big Lottery as a Regional Manager. Prior to his time at the Big Lottery, Andy worked as a Head of Information Services within the further education sector.
